1. GO OLD SCHOOL
Leave the keyboard alone
Whether you’re diligently taking notes or chatting with your bestie, the sound of typing is distracting. Consider using your old notebook and pen to take meeting notes.
2. SUIT UP
Dress Appropriately
Put yourself in the right headspace to be productive by getting up and getting dressed just like you normally do. Even if you wear pajama pants with your dress shirt, dress appropriately not only for your audience but for your productivity as well.
3. LET THE SUNSHINE IN
Check the lighting
You want to avoid looking like you work from the inside of a cave because of bad lighting. Adjust your work setup so that you face a window or are exposed to plenty of light.
4. PUT DOWN THE CHIPS
No food allowed
No one wants to see you stuff your face. Not only is it distracting to others, you won’t be able to focus on the call because you’ll be worried about dropping crumbs all over your keyboard.
